Limited Lifetime Warranty

Free from defects in design, materials and workmanship
Safetech Global Limited (“Safetech”, “we”) warrants that a Safetech product will be free from defects caused by faulty design, materials or workmanship under normal use and service, for the periods in section 2 and subject to the conditions below.
“Lifetime” means for as long as the original purchaser owns the product and it stays installed where it was first installed.
How long each part is covered

Residential use means a private home occupied by one household. Commercial use means any other use, including hotels, resorts, holiday rentals, apartment buildings, schools, childcare centres, and public or club pools. Fixed periods run from the date of purchase.
Exclusions
- Installation not in line with our instructions, or on a gate or post that is not sound, square and stable.
- Gates heavier or larger than the product’s published limits.
- Normal wear and tear, scratches and marks. Adjustment over time, such as re-setting hinge spring tension or latch alignment, is maintenance, not a defect.
- Accident, misuse, vandalism, forced entry, impact, fire, flood, storm or animal damage.
- Alteration or repair not done by us, or use with parts not supplied by us.
- Failure to maintain the product in line with our maintenance guide.
- Surface staining of stainless steel parts, which is natural near the coast and pools and is removed by regular cleaning. Damage from direct contact with pool chemicals or cleaning products not recommended by us.
- Products bought second-hand, or with the Safetech markings removed.
- Products not bought from Safetech Global or an authorised Safetech Global partner. Products sold by other companies, under other names, are covered only by those companies’ own warranties.
If we accept a claim, we will, at our option:
a Replace the product
With the same product or, if it is no longer made, the closest current Safetech product.
b Refund the price
Refund the price paid for the product.
We pay to send the replacement. We do not pay for removal, installation, labour, call-out fees or any other cost. A replacement is covered for the rest of the original warranty.
Making a warranty claim
Bought from a Safetech Global partner, store or installer
Contact the seller first.
Bought from us directly or on Amazon
Email sales@safetechgl.com with:
- proof of purchase (invoice, receipt or Amazon order number);
- photos or a short video of the fault and of the product as installed;
- the gate material, size and weight.
Please tell us within 30 days of finding the fault. We will reply with a claim number. Do not send a product back unless we ask for it and give you a claim number. If we ask for it back, the purchaser pays the return freight.
6. Pool and child safety gates
Safetech pool gate hardware is designed to meet pool fencing standards. The pool owner is responsible for the whole pool barrier meeting local rules and for keeping it working. At least once a month, check that the gate closes and latches by itself from any open position. If it does not, keep children away from the pool until the gate is fixed. Never prop a pool gate open. This warranty does not make Safetech responsible for the compliance of any pool barrier.
7. Limits of our liability
To the extent the law allows: this warranty replaces all other warranties, express or implied; our total liability for any claim about a product is limited to replacing it or refunding the price paid for it; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use, profit or income, or damage to other property. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
8. Your rights under consumer law
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the consumer laws of your country and does not affect them. In the European Union and the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to have faulty goods put right free of charge by the seller. This warranty does not affect that right.
9. General
This warranty cannot be transferred. It is governed by the laws of Hong Kong, except where the consumer laws of the purchaser’s country apply. If a translation differs from this English version, the English version applies. We may change this warranty for products bought after the change.
