2. What we collect

• When you contact us or apply to be a distributor: your name, email, company, country, business type, the products and volumes you are interested in, and your message.
• When you email or call us: what you send us and our replies.
• When we contact companies about our products: business contact details from public sources (company websites, LinkedIn, business directories).
• When you visit the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages visited. Security logs record this to protect the site. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry, send quotations, and assess and manage distributor and trade relationships.
• To take and deliver orders, and to keep business and tax records.
• To keep the website secure and, with your consent, to understand how it is used.

We use your data because it is needed to answer you or to enter into a contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, because the law requires it, or, for analytics cookies, because you agreed. We do not sell your data. We contact businesses about our products, using business contact details published on company websites, LinkedIn or business directories. We do this because of our legitimate interest in finding trade customers. You can opt out at any time with the unsubscribe link or by replying.

4. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider (Google), our email sending service (Instantly), website security and analytics tools, and freight and logistics companies when we ship your order. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also share data where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

We are based in Hong Kong and work with customers and service providers in other countries, so your data may be handled outside your country. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contract clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to business: up to 2 years. Customer, distributor and order records: as long as the relationship lasts and then for the period required by tax and company law (generally 7 years).

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site. To use any of these rights, email sales@safetechgl.com. We will reply within one month. In Hong Kong, the authority is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
